batten down the hatches...

We're hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. We've got candles, bottled water, coloring books and games at the ready.

While living in NC and going through Fran and Floyd I found it humerous that everyone bought copious amounts of bread, milk and toilet paper. That's it. Or at least that is what was always sold out. It always seemed like the ingredients for an odd preschool craft project. I think your list is more practical.

Thinking of you all on the east coast. I hope Irene weakens a lot. Be safe.

By the way, I much prefer this font to the other one you've been using recently.

I am on Long Island, NY We are also getting ready for Irene. We bought lots of food & munchies to see us through. Hopefully it won't be that bad. Wishing everyone the best.

Amy, I hope you fair well. Not quite certain where you are. My son is in Raleigh, NC and my daughter lives about ten minutes south of Baltimore, MD. I'm here in Indiana, watching the t.v. with my stomach in knots. Hope everyone is o.k!

Stay safe. I hope it doesn't hit as hard as they are predicting.

Be safe, dear Amy! I do not like this storm barreling toward you and Lesley, at all!
