where'd she go?

I'll be back for an update soon. Everything's okay...just a little busy. Our lives feel a bit like a snowglobe right now and when the glittery snow starts to settle, I'll give you more details and pictures and all that.

Thank you for all the emails and inquiries and worries.

p.s. The date was wonderful. We saw Benjamin Button, at last. It was a darling movie.

p.p.s. The bed in Little Miss Pink's room is an antique from The Cottage, scored for just $30 at their Paris Flea Market. I'd been eyeing it there for a year or so, gazing at the missing finials and dreaming up something to go there. I'd originally thought it would be fun to make a collection of seasonal finials. And I thought that it would be fun to use real pinecones, jolly bouncy balls, sugarville houses, and a dozen other unexpected surprises. The birds were holiday decorations from Target that I painted the same color as the bed and added dowels too. They are terribly wobbly and I'm wondering if I should just glue them in place permanently.

So glad to hear that you are well! Since I grew up in earthquake territory, I tend to glue/tack down many things out of habit to avoid being clocked in the head with heavy/pointy/breakable items. However, Mark Twain's daughters used to play with these enormous, wooden cherub-head finials on their bed in his spectacular Hartford house. Your Pink's bed is totally "fairytale" and invites sweet dreams. Hugs to you!

Thanks...I Was worried that something dreadful had happened...Trying to convince myself that you were just busy with preperations for the new little ones. Yes, I love reading your blog! It seems that it's theme has changed but it's name is still appropriate...Maybe even more appropriate! You inspire me to go beyond myself, yet you are honest enough about your feelings that I can relate...and feel encouraged in my less than ideal moments. Thanks! MaryL.

And glue the birds down, you have the right plan. Sonya

if you really don't want to glue the birds down , you can use the wax that they sell to hold candles in candle holders, I have used it for losey stuff.

What a clever idea! I just love the bed! (I'd glue 'em down.)

I'm glad to hear all is going well. I love the snowglobe analogy!! As for the bed, glue those "bad boys" right down with some sturdy glue. This bed is downright darling! I remember seeing something like this ages ago and marveling at it. You've made it yourself and it's too, too cute. Can't wait to hear about your new family. Hugs ! Kathy in Chicago

Miss Pink is gonna have such lovely dreams in her new room! Are we going to get a sneaky-peeky of the boys' room as well? I can't wait to see it!

I would like to post a link to your site on my blog, with your permission. Your work is "inspiring" and I think the more women here about those the stories, the happier our lives are overall.

My blog is dedicated for all artist who long to connect with other creative minds (primarily female minds) , so that we can encourage, inform, and inspire each other on our unique roads to a successful life with art.

On a weekly basis you will find something to celebrate at least one form of the arts. You will find resources on the business as it pertains to the arts; it will showcase the art work or show off what some of the artists in Oklahoma are up to; and anything else to stick with the goal as described earlier.

I hope you will visit and share with everyone your great thoughts.

Thank you.

Amy I hope the lack of blog blog posts means that the "little ones" are spending time with you.

I met you at Silver Bella last year. I'm sure you don't remember. I don't remember the names of most of the people I met while I was there. I would have liked to have said something to you about your other little one but I knew you were trying to just hold it together
so I didn't. I'm glad times are happier for you now.
