Well, what do you think? I worked today on the stage display that I'll use for Silver Bella to showcase my glittery houses.
I am going to figure out how to make the bottom part...maybe I'll just use boxes and drape fabric over them. I want to make sure I have lots of different heights.
I was thinking as I put it together and made the backdrop and curtain that this would make a fabulous puppet show stage! It didn't take very long to make and was pretty cheap too. The pipes and fittings were about $10 and the fabric was $20.

Ooh, I love it, not sure what look you were going for but it is bright and gypsy-ish looking. When you start those puppet shows I may have to send my 3 boys from Ga. to see them! Ha.
I so wish I could be there at Silver Bella this year, I will definitely be there next year.
Have Fun and I hope that you do well.
Oh wow!!! That's amazing and so cost effective Amy! Cool beans!
Adorable! What about boxes wrapped with green paper sprinkled with glass glitter? All different heights of course, but easier than fiddling with drapery.
Oh, and another thing...you can do boxes that are open on the bottom and then nest the boxes inside each other for travel. Like fisher-price toys!
The stage idea looks awsome. You could also use some tiered cake stands to showcase the little houses. Or, you could consider hanging them like little ornaments using pretty ribbons--depending on their construction, maybe they have to be in little bags for this. Maybe even a banner of little hanging houses.
Look perfect. Cant wait to see all the STUFF in it! Tracy
It's very cute. You're right it would make a great puppet stage. It's just like the one we had a church in junior high! Can't wait to see the village filled with houses!
Great idea, Amy. Turned out just like your drawing! Having worked as a folk artist for a number of years, my question is how are you going to transport it? Are you flying or driving? Cloth is good as it stores easily. Wish I could be there...it sounds like a fabulous event. Hope you sell out!!
LOVE IT! can't wait to see it in person!
love it!!!! can't wait to see it full of your glittery treasures!
I so love this. So creative and inexpensive. I'll be at your booth with bells on. Well maybe a tiara!
can't wait to meet you and see your cool goods.
This is beautiful and really unique, well done!
