a cute pink house

In the unfinished wood section of Michael's, have you ever noticed the house shaped bookcase? I decided to try my hand at fixing it up for toy storage in Pinky's room. I used the 50% off coupon to get it for just $15.

I worked all morning and this is how it looks.

I added scallop and other trim and the ball feet. The walls are papered with scrapbook paper (designed by Brenda Walton).

I'm thinking that we can store small toys and book in here and she can pull them out if she wants to play with it as a house.

You can see in the background the color pink I chose for her room. Pam worked all yesterday painting it for me! What a very nice friend. Thank you, Pam!

The room and enchanting bookcase look like a fairy tale on the verge of unfolding. Loveliness. May I ask about the brand and name of the pink color you chose? It's warm and sweet, not heavy and overwhelming. Thank you!

So cute! I might have to copy this idea for our nursery. I was trying to think of a nice bookcase idea!

I've been eye-ing that at Micheals too:) I don't have a little girl though, but maybe I'll fill it up with things I like. I like how yours is coming along and the added touch of the wooden balls on the bottom is very nice:)

She is going to feel so special and loved! What a gift you are giving her -- and I don't just mean the bookcase.

I LOVE this - and I am totally copying it - $15.00 is just the right price tag. Once again - you are the best.

This is adorable! I am also loving the love letters--technology has really hurt some things--one of which is the handwritten love letter!

This is just adorable!!

I discovered your blog and website yesterday (SUCH a delight!) and in typical absent-minded fashion, left a comment on an old post.

So I'm visiting again to say "hi" and that I've added you to my blog roll. :)

Congrats on the new additions to your family!
