I bought these shoes from
Target a few months ago. I wear them fairly often and I like them. But here's what I decided to do to them this weekend...
And now I think I like them even better!
Speaking of ballet style flats (love!), take a look at these...
And just guess where they are from. Payless Shoesource, no less. For $10. Just think of how cute they'll look with fun ribbon laced through.

So adorable! Amy you are soooo creative.
Fabulous! But please tell me you didn't actually SEW all those buttons on there?
Button shoes! My goodness but you come up with the most amazing and fun things--your button shoes are so cute.
did you sew or glue the buttons on???? I LOVE them!
What a great idea Amy! Thank you for sharing it. Kind and generous. You really are someone special!
Hey, they are so cute, perfect for someone with button-love!
Aha! They look great. Fantastic idea. I LOVE ballet pumps. They have a wondeful store called French Sole in London that produce the creme de la creme of ballet pumps. frenchsole.com is the website. xx
I love it, Amy! I'd like to try that on a tote bag. Creamy-colored buttons are my favorite.
Very, very cute. Great way to salvage a stained pair of shoes, too!
just gorgeous...now tell me: what is better than a bunch of creamy buttons? did you hot glue them on?
ahhh cuteness!
um..p.s. love the new lining too.
oh wow!!! Talk about a push of patience!! The button shoes turned out great! The ballet shoes are gonna be "in" this fall I just know it and your idea sounds perfect!
I never thought of using buttons on shoes. However, I recently covered the little shades to a chandelier all with white buttons and it looks almost as fabulous as your shoes. Thanks for always making me smile. I am addicted to your blogs!
Ooh, I do love ballet flats! Yours look great.. all those buttons are so cute and fun! I once covered a pair with Starburst wrappers.. that was fun. :)
Ack! Those are adorable! I love how you even updated the lining. I have a thing for mother of pearl buttons, they are my favorite.
