My father just sent me pictures of his eagle. Can you believe he's done all this work in less than a week? Unbelievable! Isn't my cousin lucky to be getting such a work of art?
This is the one he was working on last Wednesday? Remarkable. He is so gifted in what is sadly becoming a lost art. He's a real sweetie too. I enjoyed meeting and chatting with him!
Your daddy is so talented, Amy! (Gee, the acorn didn't fall far from THAT oak tree, did it?!) He would have loved what we saw on our walk this morning: over 20 bald eagles in an eating frenzy, just off of our local beach. AMAZING. Lasted over an hour and we just stood there in awe. (No camera, of course!) He has captured their majestic spirit in his carving.....
just sort of discovering or rediscovering your blog. scrolling through i must comment on the day you had your hair blown-out straight! isn't that so fun. i am also a curly-girlie. i am usually curly all summer long and as soon as the air begins to dry and cool, i can't keep myself from blowing out my own hair. i must embrace the curl!
sorry if this is among your strangest comments yet!
your blog is the cutest. i adore your "love this life" graphic and everything else.
Wow what an amazing piece of art. I love it. I love eagles and I am working on cross stitching a small one by a flag for this summer...next years 4th! big smile. I am so impressed with his work! Blessings, Debbie PS always enjoy your blog and your little guy! So happy for you!

This is just gorgeous! So fitting that I would bop over here today, on the 4th of July, to see this! Beautiful! :-)
It amazes me how talented craftspeople can work at such speed! It comes from years of patient practice.
