changes

Earlier this week, I packed up all of the toys and clothes of the three little children and sent them off to their future. It happened very abruptly, with little time to prepare them or ourselves. I pray those sweet little broken children will live safe lives, free to be all that God meant for them to be. Will you send up a prayer for them too?

As we shift our lives from this loss to what the future holds, we're preparing our home and hearts for our little bird's homecoming. "Soon" I whisper to my heart. Soon.

I am so sorry to hear that those three little ones won't be joining your family. You surely would have been a blessing to them in their life of chaos. You must be just broken hearted. To put so much of yourself out there and then to have your heart just wrenched apart. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as well as those three little ones. Peace be with you.

Amy, dear girl, the limits of your loving heart know no bounds. I am certain that once again, the seeds of love and creativity that you have planted in Pinky & the Boy's hearts and minds will help them to grow in many kind, loving, creative ways throughout their lives.

And I hope the days pass quickly so you can hold sweet baby in your arms once again.... Blessings to you and Rich and your happy house. Hugs,

Deb

good thoughts and prayers for EVERYONE, especially on this Easter weekend. are you getting to go see your family? if not, you should hurry up to maryland for a champagne brunch and egghunt tomorrow at noonish :) they'll even be 4 toddlers at the egghunt instead of just a bunch of crazy adults! plenty of ham, cheesy potatos, apple cinnamon french toast bake, and ugly but tasty fresh strawberry pie (and lots lots more too) to go around! let me know if your need directions *smile*

have you figured out when baby is coming? that will be such a blessing for you guys. i look forward to posts of your adventures!

You are such a generous and loving soul, and I'm sorry that you've had such a difficult time. When I'm going through rough patches, I am always comforted by something Anne Lamott wrote. It's not verbatim, but this is the essence: When the world seems broken, it means that something beautiful is about to be born. Sending you prayers and healing thoughts.

Wish I could give you a hug! Don't know how you do this. You are someone very special.

My goodness, Amy, you are going through a rough patch! I know God is holding you gently in his hands as you travel through all these changes. I have a quote on my wall that says "change, of an sort, requires courage"...sending prayers and wishes for much courage.

Dearest Amy,
You have certainly been through a lot lately! One thing you can comfort yourself with is how very much you've given to these four little birds that have passed through your home. One thing you know is that you have given as much as you can give. From fixing up rooms and house and meals and giving, giving, giving. Your poor heart must be exhausted! You and Rich just love one another and hold each other up.
Sending love from Indiana.
I am,
Whosyergurl (Cheryl)

This news breaks my heart for you! I hope you are holding up OK! Why must you go thru this over and over?
Lord bless those children, protect them, provide them a healthy home, heal their hearts and heal their foster parents hearts, too.

Oh, your poor bruised heart! You gave them such beauty, Amy, they can't not be affected by it. Pinky will dream of that bedroom you made her for the rest of her life, I know it.

Nothing is ever certain in this world, it is forever-changing, and there is always hope for the children who need extra care and love....you are the chosen angels to give them a glimpse of such love.If only for a short time, you have touched their hearts, and you will be a special memory in their thoughts always.
As happy as we all are to hear 'baby'maybe coming home to you both, I cant help but feel sad that his chance with his dad was not meant to be....Im so happy for you, this gift you are giving, is truly precious, I wish it could be bottled.
