progress

Here's the wonderful thing I found to solve my "hot spot" trouble area on the half wall next to the kitchen table...

I spotted it on my friends' blog at the cottage and hoped it would be the right size. It is, indeed, the perfect size.

I've already started tackling the junketyjunkjunk. The littlest cubbies are just a bit smaller than I thought they were...I was imagining something like shoebox size. Well, as I was driving home from the cottage today with my new great solution in the trunk, I was trying to think of what sort of box might fit in the holes. It dawned on me that business card boxes would be just the thing! And I knew just where to get them. Unfortunately, I had to buy a whole case (of 80!), but I think I have some ideas for them!

I'll show you another picture when it's all done.

Well, this is just lovely. Ann and I can't seem to master the knack of this. Our studio is plastic containers with mismatched, hand-scrawled labels, piles of paper everywhere...oh well. I guess it's just not meant to be for us.

Amy, I can't tell you how much I love love love your blog. It seems like lately I haven't been checking it often so I can save up and read a few entries at a time. You're doing an awesome job with Baby and you are an inspiration to all who are thinking of becoming a foster mommy & daddy. My daughter is wearing her special Birthday ring today that you made for her (we ordered it from your website) in January and my little niece is still loving her special textured blanket that we purchased last fall. So, thank you - we may have never met, but we think of you often. :-) The reason for my comment is to tell you that I have some robin's egg blue business card boxes - not unlike your case of 80 and I use them for shipping little items that I sell. I have received many positive comments from people when they receive them in the mail. Just wanted to share this idea with you. Take care!
