daydreaming on aisle 5

The cupboards have been bare for weeks now, all except for stale cookies and crackers that are in the baby's cabinet. (I can't bear to toss them just yet.)

So I ventured this gloomy and drizzly afternoon to my grocery store. I found myself wandering the aisles for far too long, daydreaming and generally missing sweet baby.

I decided to make a simple and fresh, homey dinner tonight...pancetta and vegetables sauteed with shallots and then tossed with linguine and a bit of parmesan. And for dessert, a very pretty cupcake.

Hey, did you know that a picture of my sugarville houses is in this month's Country Living? How cool is that?

I'm working on making some to share with you, plus a whole lot of new stuff. Oh, and some "Have Craft, Will Travel" kits too. It's all part of the path to feeling better.

Wait? Did I pick up this month's Country Living yet? I might have! I think it is still on the porch! That is very, very cool. Did you ever notice that even the word "sugar" makes one feel better?

AMY! Did you go to the Country Living website yet? You are all over there!!!!!! Go, hurry! P.S. I wanted you to know that I've been thinking so much about you and Rich the last couple of weeks; I can't imagine what it's like and I can't wait to give you hugs. I'm staying with my college roommate in McLean a couple of nights next week, is the paper place near there? Like I need another hole in my head...maybe we could meet during the day while she's at her meetings, is that near you? I don't know where anything is still after 12 years. Long loving hugs, Stephanie
