room update

Hello, my friends. We had the home inspection today and all went well. We passed! We have just a little bit more paperwork to do and then we wait for the final approval....hopefully tomorrow! Thank you all so much for your prayers and encouragement. We're almost there!
I've got lots to tell you about all these new details of the room, including lots more gifts from friends to help cozy up the space.

What precious memories you will give the children that get to call your house a home! I pray they will be those that they reflect on fondly even when they find themselves having moved on or grown up. My grandparents were foster parents; I know the children will feel as if they have stepped into a fairy tale. God bless your ministry to these little ones.

Happy new year to you and your family.
Such great news on the home approval front, who wouldn't approve a magical nursery like that? I could so live there :) Wishing you all the best.

Hi Amy~ I've been a reader a long time and love your blog for the colors and inspiration. This room is just outstanding. Your color and decorative choices were truly inspired and look so cheerful and lively. This room will be a wonderful cozy retreat for the kids.

Can I come live with you?! :)

This is a beautiful room for any child and, more importantly, is representative of a beautiful action on the part of you and your husband. Kudos!

It is absolutely every childs dream... a wonderland of sorts! I am still so very interested in knowing more about how you created those houses, as I prepare to paint walls in a new room for our two little girls.

Congratulations again. Your work is going to be so very important. I grew up a child in a very dysfuntional home, and eventually ended up in a foster home. I know, from experience, how much a good*safe*peaceful home can mean to a child caught in chaos. Raising kids is never easy (my husband and I have 5)... and so my heart just about pops when I hear of people wanting to do the right thing for a child in an unfortunate situation. You are just helping to make this world a better place, one child at a time :)

Bless you both for your kind, generous hearts. May blesings abound in your home this year and always.
