I'm back...

And just look at what was waiting for me. These (plus another vase-full) are from just one peony bush! Can you believe my luck? And yes, it is luck. I don't have a green thumb at all!

Poor Alfredo had the worst allergies in California. We drove out to Point Reyes the first day and by the time we got there, the poor baby's eyes were nearly swollen shut.

On Friday we drove out to Lake Tahoe. It was breathtakingly beautiful but oh my goodness, the drive! I looked down once as we were rounding a hairpin turn and I could not see the bottom of the cliff we were hugging. Yikes!

Meanwhile, have you seen this...

makes me almost wish he weren't potty trained.  (from Target)

I adore peonies, and yours are gorgeous! My bushes yielded more bouquets than usual this year, but bloomed much earlier where I am located.
Welcome home!

Peonies are one of my favorite flowers...unfortunately, they don't have a chance here in southern Texas!!!

I love your pretty peonies! Those Diapers are cute maybe you could buy for a friend who is having or has a baby and they could give you a pair to put on a doll or teddybear? lol Hugs Grace

Welcome home!
Your peonies are gorgeous! I'd love to grow some, but I'm not sure I have the right conditions. I guess I'll be buying my bouquets at Trader Joe's!
Poor Alfredo-- so many of us in CA have been suffering extra this year with allergies. Pt.Reyes can be so windy too. Poor little guy!
Hugs,
Jill

Are your peonies always filled with tiny ants that come inside with the pretties? I love the way they look- outside and as cut flowers- but I just remember that ant army from when I was a child. Yours are lovely!

It's ironic that Alfredo had an allergy attack while In California and I had one while in Georgia. I guess it's just the unfamiliar pollen and plants. Hopefully, now that you are back home, he is back to normal.
The flowers are lovely. And the jeans diapers are really cute.

Hugs,
Tamerie

I Love peonies too! We had several pink and white peony shrubs at our first house, but somehow don't have any at this one.... I need to do something about that. I miss them.
Allergies are NO fun!

You were out my direction on Friday! (I'm down the hill from Lake Tahoe but still in the foothills!) How awesome to know your family was in our neck of the woods!

Those diapers actually kind of freaked me out when I got that Target email. I'm not sure what to make of them.

I saw these in the store the other day - aren't these are just the craziest thing ever! Makes me almost want to buy a box out of curiosity.
