Oh boy...those low days throw me for a loopdy loo. I'm back on track. Sad, sure. But more myself.
I'm busy making stuff to put on the store, hopefully next week. This house is one I made ages ago but it's one of my favorites and definitely in the direction that these little abodes are going.
Oh, guess what...I'm planning to be among the first customers tomorrow at the Grand Opening of the new Paper Source in Reston. I can't believe that there will really be a Paper Source just 20 minutes from my house. (Although I guess Alexandria and Georgetown aren't too much further, the hassle involved with going to either location keeps me away)
p.s.
If you are interested in joining the fun of Club Little House, I have just a few openings. Email me and let's talk about it.
p.p.s.
Heavens, no. I didn't make that wonderful little cupcake. I bought it at Whole Foods. It was so ooey gooey. In fact, Rich's first ooey gooey words after his first taste was "You're not going to believe it!" I have to admit that when I first tasted it, I wasn't sure what it was that I wasn't going to believe. But after my mouth was nearly glued shut by the ooey gooeyness of it all, I knew what he meant for me to not believe. Oh, and as if sin needs a bit of help, there was a glob of raspberry goo in the middle of it all.

My mouth is watering after the ooey gooey story! Can you tell a little more about the wrapper! Is that lace? It is soooo hard to find interesting wrappers for special cupcakes!
Yes,yes, yes, I'm interested in Club Little House!
I am a quilter-I am thinking mini quilts, in 1930s or civil war reproductions. And today I am trying a mini rag rug project. We're just learning polymer clay mini techniques, and it's very fun, but I'm not sure I'm ready to share.
So excited you are creating more sweet glitter holiday homes. SO wanna add to my pretty from last year that is up in my craft room all year long. . .
Hugs, Kim

I would love to be in Club Little house- I thought I was/am but have never known about when to make anything for swaps- I didn't know you had the wonderful Magazine! I love that! I participated in Vanessa of Fanciful Twist's Blog party tonight and one of the people who came to visit me had a link to it on her Blog and I am so tickled to have found all this- and you!
Please let me know more about Club Little House- I have a small doll house that I put together with my husband. Its a cupcake/quilt shop!

I think Sweet Sassy and I will be attempting those cupcakes on our own one of these days very soon. You know, her mother is an exceptional baker and cook and certainly we could replicate it... perhaps not in all of its ooey gooey glory but we will try!
Perfect Dessert Alert: At Whole Paycheck: vanilla cheesecake filling, topped with 1/2 inch of chocolate ganache, a dollop of barely sweetened whipped cream and sliced strawberries. Perfect. Even greater than the sum of its parts. Definitely.
Hi Amy ...
Okay - sorry bout that let me try again.
Hi Amy,
Saw you in Artful blogging - congrats on that - I wanted to stop by and say that despite your sadness these days I find your blog so cheery and full of life - I really enjoy it.

A Paper Source visit sounds fun! I hope you had a great day!
I read this quote in my devotionals today, and thought of you:
“We give you thanks,
Gentle One who has touched our soul.
You have loved us from the moment of our first waking
and have held us in joy and in grief.
Stay with us, we pray.
Grace us with your presence
and with it, the fullness of our own humanity.
Help us claim our strength and need,
our awesomeness and fragile beauty,
that encouraged by the truth
we might work to restore
compassion to the human family
and renew the face of the earth."

Blessings,
Michele
