We just got back from another mad dash to California for a long weekend. The baby had a great time visiting his dad and it was a fun visit for us too. 
We stayed at this very fun hotel in Petaluma, Metro Hotel. Here are some pictures from the lobby. They even have a tiny airstream that you can stay in! How much fun is that? 
I'm totalling digging the awning over this door!
We ventured out to see the Redwoods and, on our way back, stopped in Sonoma to see this fabulous shop.

Oh, how lovely! And to think we heard about it first from dear Amy way out there....and we are so close. Next weekend away perhaps...thanks for the great tip!
