This morning, I walked him to his preschool classroom and then kissed him goodbye and walked out, only to look down to find him there following me. And that happened 3 times. The last time, the teacher called him cheerily back into the class and I walked away, just like all the books say to do.
And you know what? He did fine. No tears. Not even one. We talked about feeling nervous. But we also talked about all the new things he'll learn and all the new friends he'll make.
On the way home from his first day of school, he declared happily "I LOVE SCHOOL!" Yay!

Oh, those were the days!
He's absolutely adorable!
What a great smile! I'm so glad everyone had a fanstastic day.
Yay! You've prepared him well.

Good job mama. It is harder on us then it is on them I promise. YAY.
Good Job Amy!!!
I start my Home Visits with my new preschoolers tomorrow. Classes start next week.
Also...that photo looks like it should be an ME drawing!

That's a wonderful photo! It's the perfect start to his happy "first day"!!
This has to be one of the sweetest pictures ever Amy!
He is so cute! Glad he had a great first day!
He did a great job and so did you, Mama!

You both did great! On my son's first day, I sat in the car watching him play on the playground, which they used to always do for a little while before going in to start the day. I was so forlorn! Memories!
It always seems harder on the parents than the kids. I teach school and we always see tears in kindergarten on the first day. Unsually it is the mom's, not the kids.
He seems adorable :-)
Hi is so adorable! So happy for you both that his first day went well. Hope the second did too!
