spring cleaning...

never looked so messy...
I'm sipping on my Mexican Coca-Cola and sorting...
I'm trying to really, really organize my stuff in my craft room.
Before this cleaning jaunt, I could name you one of twelve places where you might find a pair of scissors...
And now, look, they are all together in one drawer. (I have a lot of scissors!)
And I'm busy sorting things like disembodied doll heads, mushrooms and
itty bitty people.

I wish you were here to help me. We could sit in a pile of junk and sort and talk and drink Mexican Coca-Colas all afternoon...

Ok Amy -

Take what your room looks like in your photos and quadruple the stuff in it. That is what my studio looks like. I don't even know where to start because there is no space to put things in boxes to start sorting. I tried putting boxes out in the hallway, but my dogs keep sticking their noses in them and running off with things! I am so dying to get in there and play, but I just get nuts when I walk in and just log on to my PC, get email and then leave. I need to really buckle down and get serious - LOL!
Your room is coming along nicely though. Keep up the good work.

Oh - lots of fun stuff. I'd definitely help you organize your space but I should probably clean my own space first....Hmmm.
I absolutely *LOVE* the spring issue of Inspired Ideas. It's beautiful!

That's not really a mess... it's creative chaos! Even the odds and ends are inspiring. Must get to my workspace and do something.By the way, where did you get that cone of red/white baker's twine?

Oh, you sweet brave soul. Sorting a craft studio is quite the chore. My studio is due for a good sorting. When you're done, do mind coming over to help me? I'll even find some Mexican Coca-Cola for you, okay?
Hugs,
Jill

Sorting someone else's stuff is always a great adventure! Have fun and show us the finished product.

OH My Gosh!
I am doing the exact same thing and have the same mess.
Only I am across the US from you.
It would be nice to have someone to sit and sort with.
The small stuff takes the longest time to get thru.
Today I consolidated a big box of floss, down to one of those small floss holders! A big accomplishment but not much of the rest of the mess cleaned up.
What more do you need? I might have it in my undecided pile!

Oh good. I thought I was the only one with a studio that looks like a tornado hit.

LOL, I'm glad I'm not the only one that works in a mess! At least I know where my stuff in my mess is (like 12 pairs of scrissors)

Oooohh- I could bring oatmeal cookies and we could try to figure out why we both have teeny tiny little people in jars and naked kewpies waiting for spring outfits. I even have an entire drawer filled with rick rack. Why you ask? I don't know.
It's good to know someone else is cut from the same piece of creative cloth.

I wish I was there to help you too!!!! I need to do this exact process AND paint the room before I put it back together - don't know if I ever will. Please give us pointers of what you learn. Can't wait to see the "after" photos! xo
