just like that...

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I love Boden. I love this ruffly cardigan and I love the spots and I love the big button jacket.

Something rather amazing has happened, quite unexpectedly. I've somehow dropped about 10 pounds since the last time I checked. Clothes that were once a bit tight seemed less so and my rear seemed, uh, less so big. So I hopped on the scales, rubbed my eyes and looked again. Ten big fat pounds, gone.

My secret? I guess carrying around a 20 pound babe while vacuuming, filling orders, dancing, going up and down stairs, etc.

So now when I'm thumbing through the Boden catalog, which is currently on the floor of the powder room and which I thumb through just the one time a day I actually remember to visit the powder room, I am much more enthusiastic about things such as pretty polka dot dresses.

Tomorrow, my "mother's helper" comes to, well, help! Yay!

I'm heading to bed with a book, a cup of warm milk, and tired bones.

Hooray for you....I love it when people lose weight when they aren't really trying and are excited -- a good thing. I wanna do that!!!!! I may need to borrow Baby for a few weeks. LOL

I wish the baby workout was producing the same results for me! My girl wants to be carried ALL the time, but the scale isn't changing. Isn't it fun to think of new clothes when you're a little lighter? :)

(btw, I haven't had a chance to say so, but I have enjoyed hearing about your experience as a foster parent. You seem to be doing so well at what I imagine would be a difficult -- and rewarding -- job.)

Yay, YOU, Amy! Is this one of those (said in a deep sultry voice) "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful?"

Hooray for you!! I've loved reading your blog and hearing all of your stories! You are truly sunshine on a bleak winter day.

Congrats on the reason to buy more spring clothes.

Amy...check the biceps girlfriend. I'll bet they are hard as a rock...thanks to baby. My upper body was so strong when my kids were little. Nice little perk just in time for warmer weather. Enjoy!

Don't you just love that Boden merchandise. They have the funnest prints. Lucky you on the 10 lbs. By the way - still waiting on that surprise!!

Out of all the things to lose, pounds are the nicest. Esp when you didn't have to suffer to do so.

Congratulations!

Good for you! That's really wonderful. I've recently dropped 10lbs too but in a way that wasn't nearly as fun as yours, unless you consider sweating on a treadmill for 50 mins 4 times a week while watching 7th Heaven fun!

Love those clothes at Boden. I tried on a coat yesterday at Target that made me think of you for some reason. Here's a link. It's too cute. Sorry for the long link!

So nice to see you getting your blogging rhythm back, along with the pound-shedding routine. Will you play blog tag, too, because I've tagged you!

Boden is so womanly and girly at the same time. Lovely fabrics, nice cut and excellent quality!
Have you seen their "name the gnome" contest? Such a lovely way with words, too!
