I can't take even an ounce of credit for this idea...I found it on Pinterest this morning and knew immediately it was the best idea for Alfredo. It was so easy since dandee even provided a printable on her blog. The bugs are from those Toobs...I picked up two of them at Michael's and we have some bugs to spare!
The cockroaches are so icky...
I'm not sure if we can bring ourselves to use them on a Valentine!

This is kind of off topic, but kind of not. The Zoo in Des Moines, IA is allowing people to "Name that Cockroach". I didn't read all the details, but I believe for a price, you can have one of the cockroaches named after yourself or a loved one!
Love these! Am missing the days of cute Valentine's. For the past 3 years, all my 11 year old son does for Valentine's is type out "Happy Valentine's day from Jed' about 30 times, cuts them out, and tapes them to a Little Debbie Cosmic Brownie. Now the kids are thrilled with the sugary treat, but the process just isn't the same...
Amy,
My niece and I are making Valentines with the "bug" theme. She is in fifth grade and we will include the following phrase with hers. "I don't mean to bug you, but will you be my Valentine?" Just thought your readers may want to have something for the older elementary school children to consider.
Have a splendid weekend.

Very few people find inspiration in bugs, but these makes your work more special.

My four year old son Strauss would love these! This past week in homeschool we studied I for insect. We have an ant hill that Strauss has loved watching. I think Alfredo would love an ant hill. I will take pictures of our ant hill for a post and maybe you can show Alfredo.
