finished!

39 squares for 39 years! I just finished the last of the 39 squares (plus one for the signature tag). So much fun!

Here's a flickr sideshow of the 39 squares project's more than 100 participants' samplers...

Amazing work! Thank you everyone for stitching along...this was a blast!

Your 39 squares turned out great! It's so bright, cheerful & fun!!
It's been a real treat to see all of the different samplers that have been created.
I'm inspired to create something similar for birthday #55 that I'll be celebrating in June.

Dear Amy, I don't think I have enjoyed a project as much as this one! I stopped briefly from closet cleaning and ended up watching the entire video because each and every square was just so well done. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful project and making the video!

Kindly, ldh

I have been inspired! I think I am going to do one with 23 squares for the 23 years I have been married. Each square for something significant each year.

I decided to stop at 32, it was so fun stitching along with you and so many talented others. I think I'm going to make a little art quilt out of mine. What are you doing with yours?

I think your sampler is adorable. I'm tempted to try it, but I've never done any embroidery. But what the heck, if it doesn't turn out..no big deal.
